Our Beginnings
Our love for restoring historical buildings in Lima began in 2004 with the Moreland Manor at 319 W. North St. This beautiful three-story building needed a complete renovation while still keeping all the character of the 100-year-old structure. Tenants now enjoy the beauty of the Moreland Manor along with innovative technology bringing it up to date.
Historic Acquisition
In 2010, O’Connor Properties purchased the well-known Barr Apartments, formerly the Barr Hotel on the corners of High and Union Street in downtown Lima. Built in 1914, the Barr Hotel was the setting of many memories for local residences and earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Restoration plans began immediately and today the seven story Barr Apartments, are full of hard working and retired tenants all enjoying the renovations done. With one-, two- and three-bedroom options, the Barr Apartments are equipped with modern technology, safe and secure dwellings and much more.
Building for the Future
The historic Kirwan Apartments in the heart of Lima on Market Street was purchased in late 2022 continuing O’Connor Property’s desire to maintain our historic structures in Lima. The original hotel has gone by many names and spellings in its day and is approaching 100 years old. In the fall of 2023, we began renovating this beautiful complex fulfilling our dream of keeping our city’s older structures prominent in our community. Studios and one-bedroom apartment rates also include all utilities and high-speed internet and television.
Neighborhood Welcoming Apartments
Along with our love of historic structures O’Connor Properties also offers two separate apartment complexes on the West and East sides of Lima. Walk in access, covered parking, storage units and all are updated for a modern look. Both complexes offer free internet, security, and fire systems for each apartment, and much more. The Prestige is located at 2645 Harding Hwy, in the Bath School District near the Fairgrounds and includes an outdoor back patio space as well. Our Westgate Apartments are located off Latham Ave on Colombia and Mackenzie and are situated in a wonderful neighborhood in the city limits.
